The Face of Sephardic Anusim – El Rostro del Sefardim Anusim

Not long ago, a high ranking official in the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem asked me a profound question about my people, the Sephardic Anusim. His question was, “Are there others like you?” After we explained to him that there is a multitude ‘of us’ in the USA and all across the Americas.

He then proceeded to urge me to place ‘a face’ on American Sephardic Anusim because they’d heard of us but had never encountered any of us in real life—only in the history books. Although I’d been doing exactly this in my books (in English and in Spanish and one in German), but they didn’t know about these books until now.

In my latest book, (“Out From Hiding—Evidences of Sephardic Roots among Latinos”), I make a special effort to provide a general portrait of my people. Hence, in the conclusion of this book, I provide a broad synthesis of my people’s “face,” our socio-cultural profile.

Therefore, I shall relate to the major variables, issues and concerns which make up this people group. They include elements of the physical, educational, occupational, familial, social values, socio-cultural characteristics, and patriotism, Zionism and spiritual-religious issues. However, I need to forewarn you that this profile is neither exhaustive nor conclusive in a permanent way because our profile continues to evolve--not in Darwinian’s method but by the raw reality of life’s ever changing realities and demographics. I pray this knowledge will do at least two things:
(a) Provide knowledge to those with a sincere concern about this subject; and
(b) Provide a basis for effective and compassionate prayer and intercessions for my people.

Physical Characteristics

The Sephardic Anusim of America (referring only to the USA) are very much like today’s Israeli society. I base this fact on almost 30 trips to Israel and in-depth interaction with Israeli leaders as well as the Israeli grassroots of society.

American Anusim are tall, short, stocky, lean, brown skin, dark hair and dark eyes as well as very light skin, blonde, reddish hair, blue and green eyes. Their diversity is enormous, just as it is in Israel. Some look very dark, almost black while others look very fair skin European.

Familial Characteristics

The American Anusim have larger families than all other races in America. The national average is 3.19 children per family–the Latino/Anusim family is 3.87 children per family. There is a huge difference in numbers when you set these figures into the millions. For instance, for every million families, there’s a difference of approximately 680,000 more children within the Latino/Anusim home. At ten million families, the difference jumps to just under seven million more children.

It is a known fact that many Anusim families are larger in certain areas of the nation such as the Southwest. The median age of Latino/Anusim is 27.4, almost 10 years younger than the national norm. Two in every three homes have children under the age of 18.

Occupational and Educational Characteristics

The average income is close to $40,000 a year. They are considered to be a high consumer attraction to merchants at every level.

There is a large number of Latino/Anusim that are gifted in all areas of construction ranging from residential to commercial, including city and state construction projects. Almost one in every five is a professional in their field.

Over half of them have “some college” education and close to one-third have an undergraduate degree. Approximately one out of every ten has an advanced degree. An increasing number of them are entering highly skilled professions such as medicine, engineering and so forth.

National Patriotism

In terms of patriotism, a large number of men and women serve in every branch of the Armed Forces. They are well represented in the areas of law enforcement, fire departments and rescue teams. Many have won the Medal of Honor for their heroism in combat; and have also incurred a disproportionately high percentage of casualties at war.

Religious and Spiritual Characteristics

The majority of them were brought up as Catholics and their parents or grandparents were Catholic. However, we are discovering that many were what is called, Catolicos solamente de palabra. In other words, despite their apparent devout posture, the majority are what I call, “Cultural Catholics.”

An increasing number have left the Catholic Church and entered the Evangelical Church system. However, in their recent discovery of their Sephardic Anusim ancestry, there is an exodus from these circles and are engaging in small, private Torah studies with a passion for the Prophets and the prophecies of old. Along with their Jewish cohorts, they strongly anticipate the coming Messiah.

Zionism

The overwhelming majority of them were raised with a deep sense of respect and appreciation for Jews and Israel to the point that they have exited Christian Churches that preach “replacement theology.” In other words, they abhor any semblance of faith that despises or minimizes the existence and destiny of Israel, Israelis and Jewish people in general. I have personally heard Latino Anusim young men declare that if they could and were allowed, they would join the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) to fight against Israel’s enemies. There are increasing reports of men and women who volunteer, at their own expense, to assist in the IDF while some volunteer to assist in kibbutzim.

Summary

For the most part, the Latino Anusim are tenacious, they are not quitters. They are industrious and find ways to make things happen. They are loyal to family and to community. They are “cause oriented.” Throughout many generations, they have endured extreme difficulties and leaped over hurdles of gross incompatibility in their lives. They have endured stereotyping as well as subtle racial profiling. In a nutshell, they are survivors. They have learned to live with social injustice just as their forefathers did since the days of Inquisitions past.

It is also true that Latinos, in general, have fought against schemes from outside their camp as well as within them which attempt to divide them. These struggles were maximized throughout the ploys of various Inquisitions which aimed at destroying the Sephardim, whether they were Marrano conversos or Sephardic Jews that refused conversion. At an rate, we can yet see fundamental elements of cohesion within the Latino family and community as they continue to prefer serving and assisting one another.

Perhaps, the “miracle” in their lives has been that despite being victimized all their lives, they have not become like those that have perpetrated against them.

Algunos anos pasados, un oficial elevado de la Agencia Judía en Jerusalén me hiso una pregunta muy profunda tocante a mi pueblo, el Sefardim Anusim. Su pregunta fue esta: ¿Hay otros como ustedes? Le explicamos que hay una multitud de nosotros en los Estados Unidos y a través de las Américas.

Entonces procedió en urgirme que le pongamos un rostro a nuestro Pueblo Sefardí Anusim Americano porque habían oído de nosotros pero nunca habían encontrado alguien como nosotros en realidad—solamente en los libros históricos. Aunque he estado haciendo exactamente esto en mis libros (en ingles y español y uno en alemán) pero ellos no sabían de estos libros hasta recientemente.

En mi último libro, (Surgiendo del Escondite—Evidencias de raíces Sefardíes entre Latinos), hago un esfuerzo especial de proveer un retrato general de mi gente. Por lo tanto, en la conclusión de este libro proveo una síntesis del rostro o perfil socio-cultural de mi gente.

Así es que relacionare a unos elementos mayores en esta discusión tocante a mi pueblo. Estos incluyen elementos físicos, educacionales, ocupacional, familiar, valores sociales, características socio-culturales, patriotismo, Sionismo y asuntos religiosos y espirituales. No obstante, necesito decirles que este perfil no es totalmente comprensivo ni permanente porque el perfil nuestro continúa cambiando en su demográfica continuamente. Oro que este conocimiento realice por lo menos dos cosas:
(a) Proveer conocimiento a toda persona con sincero corazón tocante a este tema, y
(b) Proveer una base para oración e intercesión efectiva por mi pueblo.

Me referiré a las variables de más importancia, asuntos e inquietudes que forman este grupo de personas.

Características Físicas

Los Anusim Sefarditas de los EE.UU. (en referencia a este país únicamente)son muy parecidos a los israelitas de la sociedad de hoy. Me baso en que he visitado Israel en treinta ocasiones y he tenido que interactuar profundamente con líderes israelitas, así como con toda clase de gente de su sociedad en general.

El Anusim Americano, de los EE.UU. es alto, bajo, robusto, delgado, piel morena, pelo oscuro, y ojos oscuros así como de piel muy clara, rubio, pelo rojizo, ojos azules y verdes. Su diversidad es enorme, igual que en Israel. Algunos lucen muy oscuros, casi negros, mientras que otros tienen la piel muy clara como los europeos.

Características Familiares

Los Anusim Americanos tienen familias más grandes que todas las otras razas en los EE.UU. El promedio nacional es de 3.19 hijos por familia-la familia Latina/Anusim, tiene 3.87 hijos por familia. Hay un gran número de Latino/Anusim que son talentosos en todas los campos de construcción que van desde residencias a construcciones comerciales, incluyendo proyectos de la ciudad y del estado. Casi uno de cada cinco es profesional en su ramo.

Casi la mitad de ellos tienen “alguna educación universitaria” y cerca de un tercio ha obtenido su título de bachiller, sin licenciatura. Aproximadamente uno de cada diez tiene su título o licenciatura. Un número creciente ha podido ingresar a profesiones de mucha especialidad, como medicina, ingeniería y otras.

Patriotismo Nacional

En término de patriotismo, un gran número de hombres y mujeres sirve en cada ramo de las Fuerzas Armadas. Están muy bien representados en el terreno de funcionarios de la fuerza pública, cuerpo de bomberos, y equipos de rescate. Muchos han ganado Medalla de Honor por su heroísmo en combate, y también han sido víctimas de un desproporcionado alto porcentaje de bajas durante las guerras.

Características Religiosas y Espirituales

La mayoría de ellos fueron criados dentro de la iglesia católica y sus padres y abuelos fueron católicos. No obstante, hemos descubierto que muchos eran llamados Católicos solamente de palabra. Se puede decir, a pesar de su aparente postura devota, que la mayoría son lo que yo llamaría “católicos culturales.”

Un número creciente ha abandonado la iglesia católica y pasado a la iglesia evangélica. Aún así, en su reciente descubrimiento de sus raíces Anusim Sefarditas, también hemos visto un éxodo de esos círculos y ahora se están dedicando seriamente al estudio de la Torá en grupos privados con una gran pasión por los Profetas y las antiguas profecías. Vemos que junto con sus compañeros judíos, ellos esperan anhelantes la anticipada llegada del Mesías.
 
Sionismo

Una gran mayoría fueron criados con un profundo respeto y aprecio hacia los judíos e Israel al punto que han optado por salir de las iglesias cristianas que predican la llamada “teología de remplazo.” En otras palabras, a ellos les disgusta todo lo que tiene apariencia de fe, pero desprecian o minimizan la existencia y el destino de Israel, de los israelitas y los judíos en general. Yo personalmente he escuchado a algunos jóvenes Anusim/Latinos decir que si pudieran y se les permitiese, ellos se unirían a las Fuerzas Israelitas de la Defensa (FID) para pelear en contra de los enemigos de Israel. Hemos escuchado crecientes rumores de hombres y mujeres que se han ofrecido como voluntarios, pagando por su propia cuenta, para ayudar al FID, mientras que otros se ofrecen a servir en distintos kibbutsim.

Resumen

Casi todos los Anusim/Latinos son gente tenaz y no se dan por vencidos. Son muy diligentes y siempre hallan la manera de cumplir su cometido. Son muy leales a su familia y a su comunidad. Son personas “orientados a la causa.” A través de muchas generaciones han soportado dificultades extremas y saltado sobre obstáculos de gran incompatibilidad en sus vidas. Han tenido que soportar el ser estereotipados igual que han sufrido el sutil perfil racial. En una palabra, son sobrevivientes. Han aprendido a vivir con injusticia social, igual que su antepasados lo hicieron durante las inquisiciones del pasado.

Es también una verdad que los latinos en general, han tenido que luchar contra tretas de fuera de sus partidos, así como con las del interior del partido que amenazan con dividirlos. Estas luchas se acrecentaron a través de los planes de las distintas inquisiciones cuya meta era destruir al Sefardim; ya sea que fueran Marranos conversos o Judíos Sefarditas que rehusaban la conversión. De cualquier modo, podemos ver aún elementos fundamentales de unión dentro de las familias latinas y las comunidades, pues prefieren servir y ayudarse unos a otros.

Quizá el “milagro” ha sido que a pesar de haber sido victimados, no se han vuelto como sus victimarios.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN ANUSIM BELIEVER & A MESSIANIC

There is much confusion regarding what a Sephardic Anusim individual is to look like in terms of his spirituality and his faith. So recently, I posed one important question to the members of ACA (Anusim Coalition of the Americas).

The question I asked was:
“What’s the similarity and difference between a Sephardic Anusim believer (in Yeshua) and a Messianic believer?”

The responses I received through various sources confirmed the vastness and confusion pertaining to this question. So I’ve decided to point out some of the similarities and differences that were sent to me in response to my mini survey; and to also add my personal observations and assessment about this important matter.

I’ll begin with the similarities and end with the differences between a Sephardic Anusim believer and a Messianic believer.

SIMILARITIES

1. Both believe in Yeshua as Messiah.
2. Both believe Messiah is coming back.
3. Both believe in Old Testament (Tanakh) and the New Testament.
4. Both believe that their redemption comes through Messiah Yeshua.
5. Both believe that in some mysterious way, they’re connected to Israel—but in different ways.
6. Etc…

DIFFERENCES

1. Anusim is of an Iberian Sephardic ancestry (Spain and Portugal)—the ancestral roots of most Messianic believers are from other countries.
2. Anusim is of Jewish ancestry—most non-Sephardic Messianics are of a Gentile ancestry. (However, there are a number of Messianic believers that were born and reared in Jewish homes.)
3. The Anusim are descendants of secret Jews who are survivors of the Inquisitions (including Spain, Portugal, Mexico and other Latin American countries)—non-Sephardic Messianic believer’s ancestors did not experience such Inquisitions.
4. Anusim’s language of origin is Spanish—the language of origin of most non-Sephardic Messianics is English or some other language.
5. Most Anusim were born into Catholic homes—non-Sephardic Messianic believers were born into homes of some Protestant branch such as Evangelical.
(Notwithstanding, many of today’s Sephardic Anusim have transferred their loyalties to an Evangelical faith.)
6. The majority of today’s Anusim have been awakening to their true roots within the last 5 to 15 years—non-Sephardic Messianics have been around for many generations.
7. Todays’ Anusim are much more willing to commune with their Jewish family (Judaism) than non-Sephardic Messianic believers.
8. Anusim yearns to someday live in the Negev of Israel—the majority of non-Sephardic Messianics are not interested in living in the Negev of Israel.
9. Today’s Sephardic Anusim are more interested in living in relationship with their (non-Messianic) Jewish family without impressing them with their pro-Yeshua persuasion—Messianic believers, for the most part, are interested in getting them “saved” and converted to a Messianic lifestyle.
10. Today’s Anusim is found all across the Northern Hemisphere (of the Americas) particularly in the Southwest of the USA and all of Latin America—Messianic believers are found throughout the globe
11. Many more Anusim are meeting in small clusters such as homes or private facilities—Messianic believers gravitate around church/synagogue-like congregations and facilities.
12. Anusim aligns itself more with the House of Judah than with the House of Joseph/Ephraim because their ancient origins are from the Southern Kingdom of Judah—a growing number of non-Sephardic Messianic believers are aligning themselves with “The House of Joseph” also known as “Ephraimites.” Nevertheless, many other Messianic believers disavow today’s Ephraimite theology and hold fast to a “one house” theology of Judah. (I must declare that I’m simply reporting and not taking sides on these sensitive issues.)

There are many more similarities and differences but suffice it to say that the one common bond they both adhere to is faith in Yeshua. (Here again, I must say that I’m merely reporting and not trying to persuade in any which direction.)

I believe there are two or three vital points I wish to leave with the reader:

One, we must strive for unity in the bonds of peace.

Two, we must not attempt to smother members of the Sephardic Anusim with theological biases or persuasions but to simply share the main pillars of what makes a him/her a believer with Jewish roots; in other words, what’s their distinctive as a believer with a Sephardic Anusim heritage.

Three, we need to point out that the pillars which the majority of Christian churches have neglected to teach on are: the essence/importance of Torah also known as the Pentateuch; adherence to Shabbat and the Feasts of the Lord; and a genuine holy lifestyle.

My closing word is that we’re to strongly encourage one another as the Hebrew Chumash (Torah) reads at the ending of each book of the Torah. Here’s what it says:

“CHAZAK, CHAZAK, VENISCHAZEIK.”
“Be strong, be strong and we shall be strengthened.”

Y UN MESIANICO CREYENTE?

Existe mucha confusión tocante lo que debe parecer un Sefardita Anusim creyente en términos de su espiritualidad y su creencia. Así es que recientemente hice una pregunta importante a los miembros de ACA--Anusim Coalición de las Américas. (Entre paréntesis, si usted esta interesado en posiblemente involucrarse con ACA, envíeme un email hoy.)

La pregunta que propuse fue esta:

¿Que es la semejanza y la diferencia entre un Sefardí Anusim creyente (en Yeshua) y un Mesiánico creyente?

Las respuestas que recibí a través de varios medios confirmo lo vasto y la confusión perteneciendo a esta pregunta. Por lo tanto, he decidido hacer hincapié de algunas de las semejanzas y diferencias que me fueron enviados—y añadir mis observaciones y asesoramientos personales tocantes a esta pregunta.

Empezare con las semejanzas y terminare con las diferencias entre los creyentes Sefardí Anusim y los Mesiánicos creyentes.

SEMEJANZAS

1. Ambos creen en Yeshua como Mesias.
2. Ambos creen que el Mesias regresara.
3. Ambos creen en el Antiguo Testamento (Tanakh) y el Nuevo Testamento.
4. Ambos creen que la redención viene a través del Mesias Yeshua.
5. Ambos creen que en algún aspecto misterioso serán conectados con Israel, pero en diferentes maneras.

DIFERENCIAS

1. El pueblo Anusim es de ancestros Sefardíes de Iberia (España y Portugal) —las raíces ancestrales de la mayoría de Mesiánicos creyentes son de otros países.
2. Anusim es de raíces ancestrales Judías—la mayoría de no-Sefardíes Mesiánicos son Gentiles ancestralmente.
3. El pueblo Anusim son descendientes de los Judios secretos que sobrevivieron las Inquisiciones (incluyendo España, Portugal, México y otros países de América Latina)—los ancestros de Mesiánicos que no son Sefardíes no experimentaron tales Inquisiciones.
4. El idioma principal del Anusim es Español—el idioma original de los no-Sefardíes Mesiánicos es Ingles o algún otro lenguaje.
5. La mayoría del Anusim nacieron en hogares Católicos—los Mesiánicos no Sefardíes nacieron en hogares Protestantes incluyendo congregaciones Evangélicas. (Una minoría nacieron en hogares Judías que practicaban el Judaísmo.)

7. El pueblo Anusim de hoy esta mas dispuesto a confraternizar con su familia Judía (Judaísmo) mas que los Mesiánicos no-Sefardíes.
8. El pueblo Anusim gime por algún día vivir en el Neguev de Israel—la mayoría de los no-Sefardíes Mesiánicos no tienen interés de tal cosa.
9. El pueblo Anusim de hoy están más interesados en vivir en relación con su familia Judía aunque no sean Mesiánicos…sin impresionarlos con tratar de salvarlos o convertirlos a un estilo de vida Mesiánica.
10. El Anusim de hoy se encuentra a través de los Estados Unidos, particularmente en el Suroeste de los Estados Unidos y a través de toda América Latina—Mesiánicos creyentes se encuentran por todo el globo terrestre.
11. Muchos más Anusim creyentes se están congregando en grupos pequeños como hogares y lugares privados—Mesiánicos creyentes prefieren las congregaciones y facilidades de una iglesia o sinagoga Mesiánica.
12. El pueblo Anusim se alinea mas con la Casa de Judá que con la Casa de José o Efraín porque sus origines ancestrales son del Reino del Sur, Judá—mas y mas Mesiánicos creyentes no-Sefardíes se están alineando con la Casa de José también llamados Efraimitas. No obstante, muchos otros Mesiánicos creyentes no aceptan la teología Efraimita y abrazan la teología de Una Casa es decir la Casa de Judá o Jacob. (Tengo que declarar que solamente estoy reportando datos y no tomando partidos en este asunto serio.)

Hay muchos mas puntos similares y diferentes pero esto es suficiente por hoy. La cosa que tienen mas en común es que ambos tienen fe en Yeshua. (De nuevo, solo estoy reportando y no predicando.)

Estoy convencido que existen dos o tres mas puntos vitales que deseo dejar con el que lee.

Uno--tenemos que esforzarnos a guardar la paz con sumo amor.

Dos--tenemos que tratar de no sofocar a los miembros del pueblo Sefardí Anusim con prejuicios teológicos y persuasiones sino debemos compartir los pilares fundamentales de lo que los hace creyentes con raíces Judías. En otras palabras, que su distintiva como creyente con una heredad Anusim Sefardí.

Tres--tenemos que apuntar a los pilares que la mayoría de las iglesias Cristianas han tomado por sentado y ensenarles: la esencia e importancia de la Tora que también es conocida como el Pentateuco. Tenemos que enseñar a que observen el Sábado (Shabbat) y las Fiestas del Señor, y vivir una vida genuinamente santa delante de Dios.

Mi palabra final es que nos animemos unos a los otros. El Chumash Hebreo (la Tora) nos enseña que al fin de cada libro de la Tora encontramos las siguientes palabras:

The whole world turns into prophets at the beginning of each New Year. I say this because the majority of people make resolutions and propose their predictions for the year that’s entering. Therefore, I’ll throw my sombrero into the prophetic circle for this New Year, 2012. My focus, as always, is the Latino Sephardic Anusim.

In this last week or two, God has shown me how Obadiah’s Vision in the process of being fulfilled these days. I’ve seen how portions of his vision began to be fulfilled in the middle of the ‘90’s. But since the beginning of 2011, God accelerated the fulfillment of Obadiah’s vision. I see much of this fulfillment in what’s known as Arab Spring.

The turmoil and revolutions in Moslem Arab countries in the Middle East as well as North Africa have begun a poisonous chain of protests, of ultra-radical changes, of killings, kidnappings and usurping of governments. A few of these countries include Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Jordan, and other nations in the region. These protests leaped into Greece, Spain, England, Toronto and even Oakland, Wisconsin and the “Occupy Wallstreet” in New York.

God’s shown me these Moslems are not only killing themselves—but the Angel of the Lord is behind much of this. (Read Psalms 34:7 and 35:5-6.) God has revealed to me that His arch-enemy has much more in mind than to solely bring chaos and confusion to these Moslems countries. What they seek to do is to plow the entire land around Israel so as to supplant a new system that’ll actively see to destroy Israel and annihilate all Jews. The global Moslem community has grown weary with its nations surrounding Israel that don’t take rebellious action against Israel.

Within this context I predict the following:

--we shall see a realignment of governments and nations throughout the entire globe and not merely in Israel’s region.
--we’ll see an exponential growth in conflict against Israel while more nations will oppose Israel.
--we’ll see the growth of anti-Semitism around the world including the Americas and particularly in parts of Latin America (which will include the People of Anusim).
--we’ll see radical and internal changes within the Israeli government…in part, these changes shall be for the future good of our people the Sephardic Anusim.

I could go on and on with these predictions but I believe one more is sufficient for this time. – We’ll also see a broader and more profound awakening among all Latinos with Sephardic Anusim roots in the year 2012. However, lamentably, these young lambs will be crying out for attention and direction…they’ll yearn to return to the land of their ancestors, Israel…and shall petition the government of Israel to allow them to return. But, the government won’t be ready until The Eternal ONE puts pressure that’ll be unparalleled to force them to open up their gates (with caution) to the People of Latino Anusim of the Americas. But this return will not begin to be realized until the year 2013—and this shall be under very grave conditions in Israel.

The good news is that, come what may, it doesn’t matter what power may oppose us, God shall fulfill His Divine Word to the letter according to Obadiah verses 20b and 21. The prophecy of Zechariah, chapter 4 verse 6 will comfort and support us in the process of this human impossibility. The heart of this Scripture reminds us that ‘it’s not by might nor by power but by His Spirit says the Lord of Hosts.’

Todo mundo se torna en profetas al principio de cada nuevo año. Digo esto porque la mayoría de personas hacen sus resoluciones y también proponen sus predicciones para el año que va entrando. Así es que yo también tirare mi sombrero en esta rueda profética para el año 2012. Mi enfoque es, como siempre, el Sefardí Anusim Latino.

En esta última semana o dos, Dios me ha revelado como la Visión de Abdías se ha estado realizando en estos días. He visto como porciones de su visión comenzaron a cumplirse desde el medio de la década de los 90’s. Pero desde el principio del año 2011, Dios apresuro el cumplimiento de la visión de Abdías. Veo mucho de este cumplimiento en lo que le han llamado Arab Spring (o Primavera Árabe).

El tumulto y revoluciones en los países Árabes Musulmanes en el Medio-Este y en el Norte de África han empezado una cadena venenosa de protestas, de cambios rete-radicales, de mortandad y usurpaciones de gobiernos. Algunos de estos países incluyen Algiers, Moroco, Egipto, Libia, Siria, Jordán, Yemen y otras naciones Musulmanes. Algunas de estas chispas caóticas han brincado a otras naciones Europeas como Inglaterra, Grecia, España y mas. En realidad, este espíritu de protesta brinco hasta los Estados Unidos de America con el Movimiento Occupy Wall Street.

Dios me ha enseñado que estos Musulmanes no tan solo se están matando a si mismos—pero que El Ángel Del Señor esta tras mucho de esto. (Lea Salmo 34:7, Salmo 35:5-6). Dios me ha enseñado que el arco-enemigo de Dios tiene mucho más en mente que solamente traer caos y confusión a estos países Musulmanes. Lo que buscan hacer es arar toda la tierra alrededor de Israel y suplantar un nuevo sistema que activamente buscara la destrucción de Israel y la aniquilación de todo Judío.

Dentro de este contexto predigo lo siguiente:
--veremos un realineamiento de los gobiernos y naciones a través de todo el mundo, no tan solo en la región alrededor de Israel.
--veremos un crecimiento exponencial de conflicto contra Israel mientras que mas naciones so opondrán a Israel.
--veremos en crecimiento de anti-Semitismo alrededor del mundo, incluyendo en las Américas y particularmente en partes de América Latina (que incluirá al Pueblo Anusim).
--veremos cambios radicales e internos en el gobierno de Israel…en parte, estos cambios serán para el futuro bien de nuestro pueblo Sefardí Anusim.

Podría seguir con estas predicciones pero creo que uno mas es suficiente por esta vez. --Veo que habrá un despertamiento mas amplio y más profundo entre todo Latino con raíces Sefardíes Anusim en el año 2012. Pero, lamentablemente, estas ovejitas estarán clamando por atención y dirección…gemirán retornar a la tierra de sus ancestros, Israel…y peticionaran al gobierno Israelí que los deje regresar. Pero, el gobierno no estará listo hasta que El Eterno les ponga una presión sin paralelo que les forzara en abrir sus puertas (con cuidado) al Pueblo Latino Anusim de las Américas. Pero este retorno no empezara a realizarse hasta el año 2013—y esto será bajo condiciones Israelíes muy serias y gravosas.

Las buenas nuevas son que venga lo que venga, no importa que poder se oponga, Dios cumplirá Su Divina Palabra y el verso 20b y 21 del Profeta Abdías se cumplirán al pie de la letra. La profecía del Profeta Zacarías, capitulo 4 y verso 6 nos consolara y apoyara en este proceso humanamente imposible. El corazón de esta Escritura nos recuerda que no es con espada ni con ejercito sino con Su Espíritu ha dicho El Señor de los ejércitos.

Within a couple of days Hanukkah will be upon us. This shall be Tuesday, the 20th of this month. This is the Feast of Lights also known as the Feast of Dedication. Also, this is the Feast that reminds us of the supernatural victory of the Maccabees against superior powers and numbers.

But more so, this Feast exhorts us to lean not on our own understanding because God’s doing a new thing. We’re to keep the Hanukkah candles of our revelational light blazing every day—every hour of our lives from here on out. There’s not time to trust on old methods (spiritual and practical) that worked in the past because God’s taking control over those areas now. This is also a time to rededicate our lives to God in a totally new way.

Remember, the old ways are things of the past. It’s time to ascend into His Presence and dwell there because that’s the only way we’ll survive the onslaughts that lay right ahead.

Dentro de dos días Janukah. Esto será el martes, dia 20 de este mes. Esta es la Fiesta de Luces también conocida como la Fiesta de Dedicación. También, esta es la Fiesta que nos recuerda de la victoria supernatural de los Macabeos contra enemigos de superior poder y numero.

Pero mas importante que esto es que esta Fiesta nos exhorta a no depender de nuestro propio entendimiento porque Dios esta haciendo cosa nueva. Nuestra tarea es de preservar las velas reveladoras de Janukah alumbrando cada día—cada hora de nuestras vidas de hoy en delante. Ya no hay tiempo de confiar en métodos (espirituales y prácticas) que trabajaron en el pasado porque Dios esta haciendo algo totalmente nuevo.

Recuerde, las maneras antiguas son asunto del pasado. Es tiempo de ascender a la Presencia del Eterno y permanecer allí porque esa es la única manera que vamos a sobrevivir los asaltos que nos esperan por delante.

EXCITING PROPHETIC DAYS -- DIAS EXCITANTES Y PROFETICOS

We’re living in very exciting days with great prophetic expectancy! At last, Obadiah’s prophecies are being fulfilled after more than two millennia.

Everywhere I’ve traveled in this hemisphere and parts of Europe, the Latino Sephardic Anusim are awakening to their roots. This is after half a millennium of almost total amnesia regarding their roots. They’re finding their genealogies, oral histories and ancestral Jewish objects of significance. Also, they are confirming their ancestries through DNA tests. Many are even traveling to Israel and finding great favor with their long-lost Jewish family.

In the days that lie ahead—not far from our vision—we’ll begin to experience great shakings that’ll open up the way for our people to make Aliyah and become Israeli citizens. It won’t be easy but then again nothing of true value comes easily.

We’ll also begin to see Sephardic Anusim pioneers among our people developing plans so as to also fulfill Isaiah chapter 40 from the 3rd to the 5th verses. Basically, these verses prophesy about a voice crying out in the desert (Negev) that the time has come to prepare the way for our Messiah. Thus, this awakening isn’t merely about our ancient paths but also about the way our Messiah will pass through on His way to Zion.

Along with the Messiah will also come an army of liberators just as Obadiah prophesied in verse 21.

In conclusion, I wish to give you a synthesis of the members in ACA. It’s kind of difficult to calculate the demographics because every day we receive applications for membership. Notwithstanding, here’s my synthesis.

Just as I expected, the majority of our members are U.S. citizens. What I didn’t expect was the vast, regional representation. In other words, our members are found in the four corners of our country and in every major region of our nation. We already have representatives from eight countries not counting America.

What most surprised me was that the number-one nation that consulted my ACA bulletin isn’t my country (the USA) but Venezuela. The second one was America, the third was Spain, the fourth is Argentina and the fifth is Israel. My dream is to see every state in my nation and every country in our hemisphere represented in ACA. So let us keep marching forward…ask your family and friends to join us because the days are coming in which we’ll really need each other more than ever.

Días excitantes y proféticos

Estamos viviendo en días muy excitantes de gran expectativa profética. Las profecías de Abdías, al fin, se están cumpliendo después de más de dos milenios.

Por donde quiera que haya viajado en este hemisferio y partes de Europa, el Sefardim-Anusim Latino está despertando a sus raíces. Esto es después de medio milenio de una amnesia casi total tocante a sus raíces. Están encontrando genealogías, historias orales y objetos ancestrales de significado Judío. A la par, están confirmando sus raíces ancestrales a través de exámenes de ADN. Muchos aún están viajando a Israel y encontrando mucho favor con nuestra familia Judía Israelí.

En los días que están por delante—no muy allá de nuestra visión—comenzaremos a experimentar estrujamientos fuertes que abrirán el camino para que nuestro pueblo haga alía y se tornen en ciudadanos de Israel. No será fácil, pero nada de gran valor es fácil.

También empezaremos a ver los pioneros Sefardíes Anusim de nuestro pueblo desarrollando planes para también cumplir Isaías capítulo 40 del verso 3 al 5. Básicamente, estos versos nos profetizan de la voz clamando en el desierto (el Neguev) que ha llegado el tiempo para preparar el camino para nuestro Mesías. Así es que este despertamiento no es solamente tocante a nuestros antiguos senderos pero también del sendero sobre la cual nuestro Mesías pasara yendo hacia Sion.

Con el Mesías vendrá un ejército de libertadores tal como profetizo Abdías en el versículo 21.

En conclusión, quiero darles una síntesis de nuestros miembros en ACA. Es poco difícil calcular las demográficas porque cada día tenemos nuevas aplicaciones de membresía. No obstante aquí va mi síntesis.

Tal como esperaba, la mayoría de miembros son ciudadanos de los Estados Unidos. Lo que no esperaba es la representación tan vasta en la esfera geográfica. Es decir, nuestros miembros se encuentran las cuatro esquinas del país y en cada región mayor de la nación. A demás, ya tenemos representantes de ocho países no contando con América.

Lo que más me sorprendió es que el país número uno que consulta mi boletín ACA no es mi país sino Venezuela. El país segundo es América, el tercero es España, el cuarto es Argentina y el quinto es Israel. Así es que puede ver que vasta representación e interés estamos logrando desde nuestra incepción. Mi sueño es de ver representación de cada estado en mi país y cada nación en nuestro hemisferio. Sigamos adelante…dígale a sus familiares y amigos que se unan con nosotros porque vienen los tiempos cuando nos vamos a necesitar unos a los otros más que nunca.

ANUSIM COALITION EXPANDING --- ANUSIM COALICION CRECIENDO

The Perfect Blend: Unity in Diversity ---- La Mescla Perfecta: Unidad en Diversidad

The new-born Anusim coalition is growing like a tsunami. Already we have 17 U.S. States and 6 foreign nations represented in ACA (ANUSIM COALITION of the AMERICAS). The point is that we’ve already expanded across the ocean into Italy. We have pending applications from other Latin American countries as well as Spain and Israel.

In all my years I’ve never seen a group of people with such commitment, passion and energy standing as one man. I’m reminded of Nehemiah 8:1--“…all the people gathered together as one man…” This is every leader’s heart desire—accentuating unity without usurping the beauty of diversity!

Our VISION is to attain a sincere communion between the descendants of Secret Jews (Anusim) in the Americas.

Our MISSION is the preparation for the coming days. (We know the days which are upon us are perilous, particularly for all persons with Jewish roots and for Israel.)

Our GOALS are:
1. Information – sending and receiving information regarding the People of Anusim
2. Fraternization – sharing histories and personal experiences
3. Connection with Zion and the Negev – news, reports and events related to Israel
and the Negev

The singular question es this: What’s so important about this coalition?

Despite the fact that this is the only coalition in the world which represents our Anusim People in all our historic and religious diversities, the major importance is found in two small verses of the Holy Scriptures—with many general references to the role of our people. These two verses are found in the Book of the Prophet Obadiah verses 20b and 21. It is there that the prophet explains to us that the exiles of Jerusalem shall occupy and possess the Negev. But in verse 21 he tells us that this group of Sephardim shall be part of an army that shall be involved in the liberation of Zion and the coming of Messiah. The great Prophet Isaiah tells us of a voice crying out in the Desert (Negev) of the urgency to prepare the way for Messiah. What we do not yet know is who this army includes, what’s our specific role and from what place are we to operate. (I have a study on this same subject which is for some other day.)

Meanwhile, many have asked if they must be able to prove their Jewish ancestry and the answer is no. Others have asked if being a Gentile would prohibit them from participating. Again the answer is no.

Pero el versículo 21 nos dice que este grupo de Sefarditas serán parte de un ejército que estará involucrado en la liberación de Sion y la venida del Mesías.
